Guild Recruitment

To make a raiding application, please fill out the application form at the bottom of this page. If you have any questions or queries before making an application, feel free to ask on our recruitment discord channel.

We are always on the lookout for new members to climb aboard and join our ranks. We offer both social and raiding spots, if you are looking to join socially, please contact us in-game. If you are looking to be part of the progress raiding crew, then grab some rum, sit back and take a look over this page.

Trial Period

If you are accepted to join the guild as a raider, new members can expect to undergo a trial period. What does this involve you may ask?

  • Two to four weeks trial period. We feel this is a good amount of time to see if you are a good fit for the guild and likewise, if we are a good fit for you. During this period we will evaluate you on your performance in raids, and your general contribution to the guild as a whole.
  • Loot rules. In order to be fair and make sure the guild is benefiting the most, raiders on trial won’t have priority on gear over full time members. We do this for a a number of reasons. Mainly we want to make sure that gear that drops stays within the guild. If you decide to leave or you don’t pass your trial then this pushes us back in progression so for this reason we prioritise members over trials. That being said, if no members need gear then trials will be eligible to get gear.

What do we expect from you?

A fair bit as it turns out. Here is a short list of requirements.

  • Ability to communicate. We recognise that not everyone has English as a native language. You should however be able to express yourself clearly enough that we don’t need to convene a council of scholars and linguists every time you string some noises together.
  • You are prepared. This means reading/watching (or whatever your preferred method is) on whatever raid we plan to diverge into on a given night. We also ask that you are ready with all of the relevant flasks, potions, food and any other little tricks you have up your sleeves to get your character to perform during raids like it’s going out of fashion.
  • Play to your best. Your idea of dps isn’t a gentle sedate tapping of a memorised rotation on a target dummy, instead it is a fire breathing desperate race of epic proportions against everyone else. Your rotation and priorities are a matter of muscle memory, you cannot help but pot on every try because dammit, that dirty other rogue isn’t going to outdps you yet again.
  • Able to keep your character up to date. We do understand some people can only get on a few times a week and time can be a factor in keeping your character relevant. And whilst we do appreciate some people have great personalities which are quite suitable for our guild, at the bare minimum we ask that you have relevant enchants, gems and gear. Or at the very least your character is ready to start progressing in whichever content we are ready to tackle.
  • Group love and team spirit. Obviously, everyone plays for personal gain. However, you’re a raider at heart, and you recognise that raiding is a team sport. You rise and fall with the team’s progress. You sit out when needed, you are always present, and you offer to pass loot to someone you think needs it more. You have been known to sacrifice actual real life friends because you found that some obscure gods accept sacrifices in return for better raid progression… or cornbread.

What can we offer you?

So, by now you might have an idea of what we are looking for, but here you can see if we are what you are looking for.

  • Fun, fun and lot’s of fun. Seriously, we can’t express enough how much fun should be the number one priority when it comes to playing games and raiding is no exception. We like a fun filled and relaxed environment but when the time comes, we know when to settle down and focus on the task at hand.
  • Experienced raiders and leadership. A lot of us have been playing Warcraft for far too long, in all sorts of guilds and undertaking all sorts of leadership roles. We extend this knowledge into the guild, to make sure we can progress as best as possible.
  • A stable home of ‘mostly’ mature people. There is that one guy who is a lot younger than the rest of us, we make sure to taunt him as often as possible.
  • Team spirit. We are a small family that will laugh with you, cry with you, and occasionally say some very inappropriate things to you (no, not just if you’re a girl).
  • The dankest of memes. If you enjoy nice walks on the beach, sampling from your exotic cornbread platter or whether you enjoy ‘yoking’ about over Teamspeak with sneaky crushers debating whether the first boss is in fact the second boss, then you will feel right at home. I’m Telloss.

Application Form

The following is our application form template that we require every potential raiding member to use. Make sure you have read over the information on our website carefully to make sure Mutiny is the right guild for you.

Remember, your application is probably the ONLY THING we know about you. Spend some time on it, answer the questions fully. Present to us a player who understands their class and has invested time into maximising their contribution to the raid via theorycrafting, UI mods and investment in gear/gems/enchants. Show us you have a brain. Do this and you are very likely to get a trial.

After you post your application it will be reviewed by raiding members of the guild and we will engage in some discussion, which you can participate in. If successful we will contact you in-game. You may also be asked to join on Teamspeak for a little interview. Remember this is for potential members who wish to raid, if you wish to join as social, please contact an officer in-game.

If your application is accepted we will add you to battle.net, if your application is declined we will reply via an e-mail.

If you have any questions or queries before making an application, feel free to ask on our recruitment discord channel.
